Not sure which test to run? Start from the symptom
- A key does nothing
- Run the keyboard test. If the key never turns green, it is dead or mis-mapped.
- Letters come out doubled
- That is switch bounce. The chatter test names the key and counts the repeats.
- Combos fail in games
- Use the rollover test to see how many keys register together and which combinations ghost.
- Typing feels laggy
- Check latency first, then polling rate; a 125 Hz board adds up to 8 ms on its own.
- Choosing a new keyboard
- Hear the main switch types in the switch tester before you buy.
- Phone keys misbehave
- Tap through the mobile keypad tester to see what your on-screen keyboard really sends.
